Frequently Asked Questions » Post-Meeting Information
Post-Meeting Information

If you attended your meeting and were not found responsible for any charges, then you do not need to do anything.  A notice of the council's decision will be available via email within one week from the meeting date. Pease keep for your records.

If you did not attend your meeting or did not receive the decision orally after deliberations, a notice of decision fully explaining the reasoning of the meeting council in reaching its decision will be available via email within one week from the meeting date. If you were found responsible, please follow the directions in the next paragraph.

If you were found responsible, then you must pick up a copy of your official Notice of Administrative Action before completing your sanction.  This Notice will be available within one week of your meeting date.  Please pick up your letter promptly, as deadlines for appeal and compliance with sanctions are based on its date.

Once you have received your official notice of Administrative Action, the Office of Student Conduct will handle necessary follow-up and sanction compliance.

Appeals must be filed with the Office of Student Conduct within seven calendar days of the date of your Administrative Action.  An appeals form and instructions are in the email.

Fines must be paid and work sanction forms must be picked up by the date specified in your letter during specified office hours (Monday-Thursday 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm) at the front desk on the 5th Floor of Leavey.  Please follow all instructions carefully.

Probations are generally passive sanctions, that is they do not affect your status directly, but warn you of future consequences for unacceptable behavior. Co-Curricular probation, if imposed, however, does have direct consequences, as a student on co-curricular probation may not,  "for a designated period of time, hold or run for any elected/selected position, or represent the
University in any official activity and/or official capacity."

Housing Suspension, Housing Relocation, Housing Expulsion, or Apartment Living Privilege Suspension are the only sanctions that directly impact one's status with the Housing office and assignment to on-campus living spaces.

Parental Notification is used to notify parents or guardians of dependent students of sanctions that may impact their student's housing or status at the University.
